Kolkata Sanved COVID 19 Awareness Programme

Overview

The Kolkata Sanved (KS) team visited Tongpara and Mosul villages in West Bengal, to spread awareness regarding the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the safety measures to be taken for combating the same. This was done in collaboration with the South Kolkata Sheela Sengupta Memorial Foundation (SKSSMF). Beyond its work of awareness raising, KS also distributed dry rations and hygiene kits within the villages.

30 families in Tongpara and 30 in Mosul, (with a monthly income in the range of Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3000 each), were the recepients of the dry rations and the hygiene kits. 

The dry rations comprised:

• Rice
• Pulses
• Soya Bean
• Chhatu
• Mustard Oil 

The hygiene kits consisted of the following:

• Masks 
• Detergent
• Soaps
• Hand Sanitizers
• Phenyl
• Sanitary Napkins 
• Mosquito Net
