Emergency Response

Overview
Kolkata Sanved in collaboration with Nari O Shishu Kalyan Kendra NOSKK, distributed hygiene kits and basic necessities to 40 families from marginalized communities,  residing in the villages of Khaskhamar, Khajuri, Nalpur and Chalkbanekha in Howrah. 

Relief was also provided to 14 highly vulnerable families in Kolkata and South 24 Parganas identified by our practitioners who belong to those communities themselves.  These included Kalighat, Lake Gardens slum, South Purbachal Hospital Road  Baruipur, and Amtala.

The kits distributed in Howrah included:

•  Turmeric powder
•  Biscuit 
• Puffed rice
• Sugar
•  Salt 
• Soap
• Detergent 
• Sanitizer 
• Mask 
• Sanitary napkins

The items had been finalized as per the needs of the community,  in consultation with the collaborative partner.
