Center for Wellbeing and Social Change

Inclusive spaces which combine creative art and well-being are scarce in India and even globally. Those which are available can largely be accessed only by a certain stratum of society. Kolkata Sanved strongly believes that there is a need to develop a creative space which moves beyond the elite model and is open to all.The center will be a physital space which will be a combination of physical and digital space.

The main objectives of the center
  • To become a global benchmark in using Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and Creative Arts Therapy (CAT) in social development, education, practice, healing, training and research
  • To establish an ecosystem for DMT and CAT and make it accessible to both underprivileged and privileged communities
  • To build an institute of DMT and CAT as part of the centre and to create DMT practitioners, CAT practitioners and change leaders
  • To use the forum to develop new ideas and innovations in DMT and other therapeutic art forms
  • To establish the use of DMT and CAT interventions in various settings as viable livelihood options

To nurture learning, research, and cross-sector collaboration to seed scalable models and careers in DMT/CAT.

To establish Kolkata Sanved as a global thought leader in the sphere of  creative well being and social change.
