Emergency Response

Overview:
Kolkata Sanved in collaboration with the Nari O Shishu Kalyan Kendra NOSKK, distributed hygiene kits and basic necessities to 40 families from the marginalized communities  residing in the villages of Khaskhamar, Khajuri, Nalpur and Chalkbanekha in Howrah. 

Relief was also provided to 14 highly vulnerable families in Kolkata and South 24 Paraganas identified by our Dance Movement Therapy practitioners who belonged to those communities themselves.  These included Kalighat, LakeGardens slum, South Purbachal Hospital Road (near Anwar Shah bye-pass crossing), Baruipur, and Amtala.

The kits distributed in Howrah included:

  • Mask 
  • Sanitary napkins

The relief kit items had been finalized as per the need of the community people during these times of crisis, in consultation with the collaborative partner.
