Kolkata Sanved COVID 19 Awareness Programme

Overview

A COVID 19 awareness program was conducted by Kolkata Sanved in Lakshman Chowk village, Sonamui Post Office, Ghatal sub-division, Paschim Midnapore, in collaboration with AASHA (Association for Acquiring Self-Reliance through Handicraft Activities).

The objective of the program was to spread awareness on COVID-19 and necessary precautionary measures to be taken.  Along with this, distribution of ration and hygiene kits to community members who had lost their source of income during the COVID-19 crisis was also undertaken.

Support Extended:

The program took place in two phases, with the same set of activities being repeated separately for each group of 30 participants. The first group consisted of 30 adolescent girls and the second group consisted of 30 adult women.

The ration and hygiene kits comprised of the following:

• Masks
• Detergent
• Hand Sanitizers
• Soaps
• Sanitary Napkins
• School Bags (for the adolescent girls)
• Pulses
• Soya Bean
• Chhatu
• Mustard oil
• Shawl
