Sampoornata Wellbeing Club

A pathway to dignity, leadership, and livelihoods through DMT. The academy opens access for under-served youth to learn, practice, and lead as DMT practitioners and changemakers.

Purpose

We develop youth leaders who champion mental health, gender equity, and community safety.

We strive to

  • Create youth leadership and voice
  • Promote safeguarding skills
  • Regularize mental health conversations

Adolescents, particularly girls, face gender-based violence, marginalization, and a lack of safe spaces to grow.

We work towards addressing the problems of-

  • Gender based violence risk, gender norms and social stigma
  • Limited support for youth wellbeing

Participants gain tools for healing and advocacy, breaking gender norms while nurturing peers.

Our participants are strengthened with:

  • Healing and resilience building
  • Safeguarding and life-skills
  • The ability to question gender stereotypes

Community wellbeing through arts-based mental health actions and gender equity.

Grassroots implementation with strong local partnerships –

Our collaborative partners are grass roots organizations including –

  • Local Stakeholders- Schools, Panchayats, Village level Child Protection Committees (VLCPCs)
  • Sundarban Social Development Center (SSDC)-South 24 Parganas
  •  Jeevika Development Society-South 24 Parganas
  • Groups: Adolescent girls, parents, community stakeholders
