Diploma & Post Graduate Diploma in Dance Movement Therapy
This programme will serve as an intensive introduction to DMT and its uses for recovery, healing, rehabilitation and self-expression. The aim of this programme is to create DMT practitioners who will engage with various communities and settings, such as mental health settings [hospitals, mental health clinics], residential institutions [remand homes, prisons, orphanages, old age homes], communities [slums, red-light areas, railway platforms], schools, day care centres, and many more.
- Building a sound theoretical understanding of DMT
- Practical experience of the DMT process
- Facilitation of DMT sessions in field settings
1. ELIGIBILITY AND ADMISSION PROCEDURES
DDMT Programme : Minimum qualifications:
- An interest in dance, movement, other art forms
- Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
- At least 22 years old
2. PGDDMT Programme : Minimum qualifications:
- An interest in dance, movement, other art forms
- Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
- At least 22 years old
- Successful completion of the DDMT Programme
2 seats are reserved for individuals from marginalised backgrounds [community, underprivileged, survivors] in Kolkata, for whom the minimum qualification is 12th standard pass.
