Friday 13th December at 7pm, Saturday 14th December, 2019
Shashito Shorir is a movement-based performance piece about trauma, survival and healing. Performed to a soundtrack of original music and recorded interviews with survivors of sexual violence, it is an unflinching look at how the colonised body responds to a world that continues to assault it from all sides.
Each performance is followed by a panel discussion with those working in the sexual violence and domestic abuse sector. It is our hope that with this production we can work to destigmatise the conversation around sexual abuse and together work towards a more just world.
