Kolkata Sanved has performed during numerous occasions to promote its message to masses.
April 29, 2008: Dance in Outreach
- Kolkata Sanved and World Dance Alliance (West Bengal) in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Culturul Center (EZCC) celebrated the power of dance with ‘Dance in Outreach’ focusing on the possible roles of dance as advocacy and how it can and does make a difference to so many lives, especially bringing change in the lives of special children, victim of violence, mentally challenge and children from the disadvantaged strata of society. The programme was inaugurated by Amala Shankar.
Over 101 children and young adults from diverse backgrounds participated in the performance, helping to spread the powerful message of dance. The celebration included works by Kolkata Sanved’s own Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) trainers with children from their regular DMT classes at All Bengal Women’s Union , APNE AAP Women Worldwide , Nirman and Newlight. A short documentary on one of the DMT trainer’s work with mental health patients at Lumbini Park Mental Hospital was also presented.

- Sri Gopal Krishna Gandhi, the Governor of West Bengal formally launched Kolkata Sanved’s Programme "Saving Lives Through Dance" on March 30, 2007. Through this event, we reached out to the public regarding the Process of Dance Movement Therapy along with the development of the Core Trainers. The trainers played a major role in the whole programme and participated in meetings and networking for the event.
UNIFEM & UNDP Regional High Level Consultation-2006
- Sohini Chakraborty was invited on behalf of Kolkata Sanved to speak on using Dance Movement as mental health in human rights perspectives at the Regional High Level consultation at Kathmandu, Nepal (22-24th May 2006), organised by UNIFEM & UNDP.
HOUSE OF COMMONS: 2004
- Invited to the London House of Commons and Wales for dance performance, advocacy, and workshop in 2004. Organised by Commonwealth Youth Exchange Council, Christian-Aid, Urdd Gobaith Cymru and Sanlaap.
AMERICAN DANCE THERAPY CONFERENCE-2004, 2005, 2006
- Represented India for the first time with an invitation from the American Dance Therapy Association to attend the International Dance Therapy Conference held 7-10th October, 2004 in New Orleans and 10-15th October in Washington DC. This programme was supported by the US State Department of Trafficking in Persons.
- 16th – 5th Nov. 2005, Nashville and Washington DC , Speaker of the International Panel of Dance Therapy conference. programme supported by Alyse Nelson Bloom, Vital Voices and Georgetown University.

Round Table Discussion: February 15, 2008 in Kolkata
Kolkata Sanved organized a round table discussion on “Using Dance and Movement Therapy in working against trafficking and Sexual Exploitation” at the American Center in Kolkata, facilitated by Mr. Roop Sen. The discussion focused on:
